Antique Edward V11 Hallmarked Silver covered butter dish made in 1906 by C.S Harris in London

Description

Antique Edward V11 Hallmarked Silver Butter Dish complete with lid and traditional Cow finial made in 1906 by the renowned London Silver maker Charles Stuart Harris. The circular dish is elaborately pierced with  foliate designs and applied with cast scrollwork borders. The lid by contrast is plain and of domed formation applied with Milking Cow finial. The dish sits on 3 bun feet. The interior of the dish has a clear crystal lining which is detachable for washing up. This is a snug fit and has recently been custom made. The dish itself has a diameter of 9 cms with a usable depth of 2 1/2 cms. The overall diameter of the saucer of the dish is 14 1/2 cms.
